Staff:

Our office has two attorneys and five in our support staff.

Almost all of us speak both English and Spanish.

Rodney Kleman, Attorney - I have been licensed since 1973 in the State of California.

My license number is 55808. In the 27 yrs. I have been an attorney, no client has ever complained to the California State Bar about my representation of them. *Graduated 1969 from Michigan State University, B.A. in Finance.
*Graduated 1972 from Wayne State University Law School, Detroit Michigan   with a J.D.
*Worked as an Accountant for General Motors Corporation in Detroit while   attending Law School.
*Moved to California upon graduation and passed the California Bar.
*1973 Worked for attorney in Monterey, later became a Partner in a larger firm,   then eventually left and became sole practitioner.
*1973 to 1981 General practice specializing in Real Estate, business matters and   creditors rights.
*1981 to 1988 Specialized in Commercial collection and Real Estate.
*Since 1989 Law Practice devoted exclusively to representing debtors in   Bankruptcy Court.
*Owned numerous businesses and Real Estate rental properties over the years.
*Married since 1967 and have two adult daughters.

Shian MacLean, Attorney - Admitted to California Bar and U.S. District Court for the                                           Northern District of California in 1988.

My license number is 133765. Admitted to United States District Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and US District Court for the Eastern District of California. *Graduated from John f. Kennedy Law School.
*Before becoming an attorney, I worked for the New York City Department of   Social Services and the State of Michigan Department of Civil Rights.
*I have represented debtors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases since  1988,including nine years as a solo practitioner in the East Bay Area., and 2 and  one-half years practicing in Monterey County.
*Experienced in dealing with creditors including collection agencies, mortgage   companies, car finance companies, IRS and Franchise Tax board, and District  Attorneys in Family Support matters.

Robert - Supervising Paralegal: After graduating from Sawyer College in paralegal studies, Robert began working for the Chapter 13 Trustee in San Jose as a case analyst. Robert then came to work for this firm and has been with us for over 6 years. Robert supervises all non-attorney office staff and assists the attorneys with legal matters; assists clients with regard to payment issues, sales, refinances and purchases of real property and other legal issues. Robert also accompanies the attorneys to court hearings.

Aprill - Paralegal: Aprill previously worked for another law firm and has worked many years in the legal field. Aprill has worked in this office for over 5 years and recently completed the Paralegal Certificate course at CSUMB. Aprill assists the attorneys with various legal matters including sales, refinance and purchases of real property and assists clients with regard to payment issues, acts as our legal secretary and supports attorney Rodney M. Kleman.

Angelica - Paralegal: Angelica has worked in this office for over 6 years. Angelica prepares cases; assists clients with regard to payment issues; acts as liason with Trustee's office and supports attorney Anita J. Jaeger. Angelica also assists attorneys with translation, both in the office and in court.


Elizabeth - Paralegal: Elizabeth has worked in this office for over 5 years. Elizabeth prepares cases; assists clients with regard to payment issues; acts as liaison with Trustee's office and supports attorney Shian MacLean. Elizabeth also works in our Watsonville office Tuesday and Thursdays and assists attorneys with translation.

Wendi - Paralegal: Wendi has been with this office since the beginning. Wendi supports the attorneys and other paralegal staff on various legal issues. Wendi is in the office 2 days per week.

Abby - Receptionist: Abby has worked in this office for over 2 years. Abby is our receptionist and assists all clients with regard to scheduling appointments and directing their calls to the proper office staff. Abby also drafts documents for filing with the court; as well as other clerical tasks, and translates for the attorneys as needed.

Bella - File Clerk: Bella has worked in this office just under 1 year. Bella manages all our files; pulls files for the office staff and attorneys as needed and is our backup receptionist. Bella also supports the other office staff in a clerical role and translates for the attorneys as needed.

Miyra - Receptionist in Salinas office: Miyra is the newest person to join our firm. Miyra assists clients at appointments; translates for the attorneys and supports the officer office staff as needed.
